Chapter 105 Hollywood Opens Up
Chapter 105 Hollywood Opens Up
"Annie, aren't you going to introduce her?"
They both turned their heads at the same time.
Scarlett Janssen stood by the sofa, holding a wine glass, her golden curls gleaming softly in the dim lighting.
She wore a black slip dress today, with a neckline that was just right, showing off her amazing figure without being too flashy.
Scarlett.
Anne's smile paused slightly before returning to normal.
"This is Fu Yibai, a director from China and winner of the Berlin Golden Bear Award."
"Oh, pay."
I didn't expect you to be so young, and so handsome.
This is quite different from the Eastern directors I was used to.
Scarlett's gaze fell on Fu Yibai's face, directly and without any attempt to hide it.
Fu Yibai stood up and shook hands with her.
"Hello, Scarlett."
You are beautiful too.
The performance in "Girl with a Pearl Earring" was very good.
"Thank you~"
Scarlett's gaze swept between Fu Yibai and Annie, a meaningful smile curving her lips.
"Did I disturb you?"
"Of course not." Annie moved aside to make room for her. "Want to sit?"
Scarlett did not sit down next to Anne, but instead sat down on the other side of Fu Yibai without any attempt to hide her purpose.
The sofa wasn't wide, and the three of them sat very close together. Scarlett's arm was lightly touching his arm, and she smelled a different perfume, stronger, like a summer night breeze.
"Fu, I heard you just finished filming a big-budget production that cost over 100 million US dollars?"
"Yeah, we just finished filming."
"You are a truly talented man, capable not only of making art films but also of directing such a large-scale production."
Do you have time tonight?
I'd like to talk to you about some things related to movies.
Scarlett's gaze was utterly undisguised; she stared directly into Fu Yibai's eyes, completely ignoring Annie on Fu Yibai's other side.
"Scarlett, I was the one who talked to Fu first."
"So what?"
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, leaned slightly closer to Fu Yibai, and pressed her arm against him more tightly.
"Annie, this isn't about queuing to buy coffee."
Fu Yibai sat between the two men and could clearly feel the gazes coming from both sides.
One was cold and tinged with anger, the other fiery and brimming with provocation.
He picked up his glass and took a leisurely sip.
"Gentlemen, how about we find somewhere else to talk?"
Anne and Scarlett both looked at him.
"There are a lot of people and eyes around here; Leo's parties are never short of paparazzi spies."
Fu Yibai put down his wine glass, stood up, and straightened his suit.
"My hotel isn't far from here. There's a nice bottle of red wine there, a gift from a friend. I haven't had a chance to drink it yet."
He spoke casually, as if he were genuinely inviting two newly acquainted friends over for a drink.
Anne was the first to stand up and naturally took his left arm.
"sounds good."
Scarlett paused for a moment, then smiled and stood up, taking his right arm.
"You're such an interesting man."
The three attracted a lot of attention as they walked through the party crowd.
Leonardo was chatting with some friends when he saw this scene. His eyes widened in surprise, and he immediately gave Fu Yibai a thumbs up with a meaningful smile on his face.
Fu Yibai returned his gaze, and then walked out of the villa surrounded by two women.
As night deepened, the lights of Beverly Hills gradually faded into the distance outside the car window.
Fu Yibai drove, and the two women sat in the back seat, neither of them speaking.
The atmosphere inside the car was quite subtle, with two different perfume scents wafting in the air, one cool and refreshing, the other rich and intense.
Annie leaned against the window, her gaze fixed on Fu Yibai in the driver's seat, a faint smile playing on her lips.
Scarlett stared unabashedly at Fu Yibai's profile in the rearview mirror, her gaze direct and almost audacious.
The hotel is not far away, just a ten-minute drive.
Fu Yibai parked the car and took the two women upstairs in the elevator.
The hallway was carpeted thickly, making no sound underfoot. The door opened, and the entryway light automatically turned on, its warm yellow glow dispelling the darkness of the room.
"Please come in."
Fu Yibai stepped aside, and the two women filed in.
"Please have a seat, I'll go get the wine."
The two women sat on the sofa, staring at each other and waiting.
They understood each other's meaning through their eyes.
Annie: You're shameless.
Scarlett: Same here.
Anne: If you're so tough, don't leave later.
Scarlett: I won't leave even if you leave.
.........
A moment later, Fu Yibai returned with the wine.
"Here, have a taste."
"Hmm, not bad wine."
Fu, you're a really interesting man.
"What's so interesting about it?"
"Look at the way you're looking at me."
Scarlett tilted her head to look at him, her gaze filled with undisguised passion.
"I have met many Eastern men, but although they looked at me with greed in their eyes, they did so in a secretive way."
Everyone says Eastern men are reserved, why are you different?
Fu Yibai held his wine glass, his gaze shifting between Annie and Scarlett.
He smiled and leaned back slightly against the sofa back.
"Because you and Anne are so beautiful, I simply cannot pretend not to see you."
Besides, sincere appreciation is always better than insincere avoidance, isn't it?
His voice was steady, carrying a calm confidence.
Scarlett chuckled upon hearing this and downed the glass of red wine in one gulp.
I like your honesty.
As she spoke, she leaned forward a little more, almost pressing herself against Fu Yibai.
"So, on such a beautiful night, shall we simply... enjoy some wine and conversation?"
"I wonder if Miss Scarlett has anything else she'd like to do?"
Fu Yibai downed his drink in one gulp, his gaze burning as he looked at Scarlett.
"I want it this way..."
Scarlett stopped hiding and directly threw herself into Fu Yibai's arms, then kissed him.
Anne, standing to the side, widened her eyes in surprise at Scarlett's boldness.
Although she was a little shy, she still had no intention of leaving.
.........
That night, Fu Yibai experienced the openness of Hollywood actresses.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Hollywood specialties from top to bottom and inside out.
