Chapter 11 Consciousness Space, the Realm of Six Heavens
Chapter 11 Consciousness Space, the Realm of Six Heavens
Sigh! Xuanming sighed silently.
He was too lazy to even lift his hand, so he slid his arm along the table and pulled the teapot that was placed to the side in front of him, and then started to stare blankly again.
"You try it. If I'm a bad person, may I be struck by lightning!"
Hearing the voice echoing in his mind again, Xuanming felt as if a little person had appeared in his heart, trying to persuade him as well.
"Try it as he says! A short pain is worse than a long one; the sooner you die, the sooner you're free."
"Judging from this, if we ignore him, we're really not going to have any peace tonight."
I don't know if the persuasion worked or if I just couldn't stand the noise anymore.
Xuanming finally picked up the kettle and slowly refilled the white porcelain cup with water.
The food on the tray beside them had long since stopped steaming.
But it doesn't matter anyway, since Xuanming has no appetite right now.
"Is this what it is?"
Xuanming raised his right hand and repeatedly rubbed his forehead with his index and middle fingers, as if trying to wipe something away.
"It wasn't drawn on!"
Upon seeing the mark, Xuanming seemed to become interested as well, no longer appearing half-dead as before.
He moved the candlestick that he had just pushed away back a little, then placed the water glass on the table and bent down to align his forehead with the rim of the glass.
Indeed, a very faint mark had appeared on his smooth forehead.
Shaped like a miniature sun, only the size of a mung bean, it is intricately carved with openwork patterns and has a faint, almost imperceptible, pale blue hue.
The blue was so pale that it resembled the sky blue fading its last hue, almost disappearing into the skin without a trace unless one looked closely.
"Fine, I'll give it a try! It can't get any worse, can it?"
"What difference would it make if there was another one?"
"At worst, we'll all perish together, destroying this body!"
Having made up his mind, Xuanming dragged his somewhat weak body and lay flat on the bed.
He followed the voice's instructions and focused his attention on imprinting the lines on his forehead.
When Xuanming closed his eyes, darkness instantly enveloped everything, as if he were sinking into a dark, deep sea.
Only the dim candlelight in the room could bring him a sense of peace.
He tried to clear his mind of distractions, repeatedly sketching the shape of the sun's mark in his mind.
The openwork edges, the flowing blue light...
Gradually, a wonderful change occurred.
The pure darkness before his eyes began to fade.
Extremely tiny, colorful specks of light, like newly born stars in the universe, gradually emerged and twinkled in his "field of vision".
One, two... more and more!
The fiery red, the profound blue, the vibrant green, the sharp gold…
They are not still, but slowly flowing and breathing, as if they have life.
An indescribable sense of vastness and tranquility enveloped him.
Xuanming felt as if he was no longer lying in bed, but floating in a boundless, dazzling sea of stars composed of pure energy points!
"You've finally arrived!"
The voice rang out again, tinged with a sense of relief, "Follow the white light to find me!"
Xuanming tried to move and was surprised to find that he had turned into a blue ball of light and could travel freely in this mysterious universe.
He somewhat clumsily manipulated himself, following the path formed by the white light.
A moment later, three orbs of light, each emitting a different glow, floated silently at the end of the white light band.
Like stars waiting to converge.
Xuanming controlled his body to slowly approach, with a hint of caution, hovering not far from them, quietly observing.
Seeing that everyone had finally arrived, the white orb of light disregarded Xuanming's guard and spoke:
"Alright, everyone's finally here. Let me introduce myself first!"
"My name is Xiao Hengyi, I'm 19 years old, and before I transmigrated, I was in a university dormitory. What about you?"
After a moment of silence, the red orb responded first: "My name is Sen Yang, I am 16 years old and a first-year high school student."
"My name is Ze Feiyu, I am 17 years old and a high school sophomore." A gentle voice came from the purple light sphere.
Upon hearing that the others were from the same place as him, Xuanming instantly became nervous.
Fortunately, they are all spheres of light now, so they can't be "seen" and don't have any facial expressions, otherwise he would have turned around and left immediately.
Seeing that he was the only one left, Xuanming braced himself and introduced himself: "Xuanming, Xuan with the fire radical, 17 years old, a sophomore in high school."
"Is your surname Xuan? I've never encountered this surname before, it's as rare as my surname Sen."
The red orb seemed to be quite lively, and immediately asked a question after hearing Xuanming's words.
After asking the question, without waiting for Xuanming's reply, it floated back to the blue orb.
"Your surname seems quite unique; is it the 'choose' in 'select'?"
This was the first time Xuanming had ever seen someone be so enthusiastic towards him, and he was momentarily at a loss for words.
While he was still in a daze, the purple orb answered Senyang's question first.
"It's not that 'Ze' (择), my surname is rather uncommon."
"There's no paper or pen here, so I can't write it down for you. Let's talk about it when we meet again!"
"My surname is... Xuan!" Xuanming managed to utter the lie while suppressing his immense guilt.
Fortunately, he was just a ball of light at the moment, otherwise anyone would have seen that he was lying.
"This is the first time I've ever seen Mori's personality like this!"
Xuanming mimicked Senyang's logic and added a dry sentence, appearing quite aloof.
Has anyone here heard of Pili Puppet Theater?
The white orb spoke again, straightening the leaning building back into place.
"What is this, a shadow puppet show?"
After asking a question, Sen Yang seemed to finally remember the important matter.
"Didn't you say you were going to tell me why I traveled through time, and that it was related to this?"
"It's not a shadow puppet show; it's more like a fantasy drama."
"The only difference is that the characters aren't actors, but puppets. We're in the world of puppet theater right now."
"The reason we are here is that the sun god brought us here; He wants us to stop the world from ending."
Xiao Hengyi paused, then changed the subject.
"Alright, since you don't know about puppet shows, I'll tell you the details!"
"The divine realm in this world, also known as the realm of gods in the Six Heavens, is divided into two camps due to differing ideologies."
"The creator gods, led by the sun god, believed that gods should not interfere with the development of humankind."
"Whether humanity is reborn in darkness or falls into decay in the light is their own choice."
"The creator gods, led by the God of War, cannot accept the selfishness and fighting among humans."
"But these ugly aspects have always been tolerated by the gods, which has led to good people not living long and evil people living for thousands of years, making the human world filthy and unbearable."
"They felt that such a human world was unworthy of being protected by the gods and should be destroyed and recreated."
"Initially, the two sides simply had different ideas, and there were occasional arguments but no major conflicts."
"Later, the God of War rebelled against the Six Heavens Realm, created the Demon Realm, called himself the Abandoned Heaven Emperor, and destroyed the Dao Realm before being stopped by the Sun God."
"From this point on, the conflict between the two factions escalated, and there was a tendency for them to take physical action."
