Chapter 252 – At the Cusp of War
After we wrap up our fun and clean up, my bindings retreat from Sirgia’s lithe frame and I pull us under the sheets. She snuggles into me lovingly, pressing her back against my chest and putting herself into a little spoon, bringing my arms around her. Niel joins us, dressing down to her underwear, her face a tad flushed despite everything she’s witnessed.
And witness she did.
I have no doubt the purple-haired Dwarf cutie memorized every single second of the punishing ass-pounding her best friend received. And unfortunately or fortunately, it might have opened something new for her, not just Sirgia’s tight ass. Judging by how she continues to gaze upon my lover’s blissfully relaxed expression, she truly enjoys observing her. Perhaps it’s something that started much earlier even, when the two were working together before their separation.
We lie down in silence for a while, until Niel’s golden eyes flicker upwards to meet mine. Her cheeks colour a bit more at the memory of what I’ve dragged her into, but the tiniest curl present at the edge of her pouty lips assures me she isn’t dissatisfied. I get the feeling that she’s a tougher case of Sirgia, where you need to put quite some effort into breaking her out of her antisocial shell.
And sometimes a good fuck is the best solution.
“What are we going to do now?” she asks delicately, still boring into my eyes with a hint of deference.
I note that she says we instead of you. We haven’t been around each other for long but she already considers us a team. If not family.
Sirgia rouses from her daydreaming, kissing my forearm, which she keeps nuzzling her face into. “We still need to speak to the Patriarch. He should be done soon. But, it’s good to wait a moment or two more to let things calm down inside the clan. It was a smart move for him to bring us here to spend time together.”
Smirking, I give her sharp ear a gentle peck. “You think he planned this?”
She squirms in my embrace with a lovely sigh. “I think he saw how I was looking at you after the duel. He might have only one eye, but the Patriarch is very attentive. Some say he is actually blind in his visible eye and uses some magically crafted vision artefact hidden beneath that eyepatch.”
Niel lets out a muffled giggle. “The maids keep gossiping that it can see through clothes whenever they catch him ogling them.”
“That would be something.” My lover snorts cutely.
“I mean, it’s not entirely impossible.” I hum thoughtfully. “Can’t exclude the chance that some kind of magical x-ray exists. Besides it being an ancient spell or ability or something.”
“X-ray?” Sirgia tilts her head back to glance at me with that inventive and inquisitive spark.
I explain whatever I remember about the principle to the two curious ladies, enjoying their attention. Just one artificing nerd was enough for me but now I have two gorgeous geniuses hanging on every word I spill. And perhaps not just word.
“That could do...” My mate rubs her chin, her gaze getting distant.
Chuckling, I scratch her head softly. “Yeah? And what would you need it for, huh?”
She reddens a little bit, evoking a tiny grin from her sworn sister. “Ummm... Checking for hidden weapons?”
“Uh-huh. Especially those hidden behind underwear, hm?” I pull her plump rump into me more, causing her to inhale softly and rub it up and down my crotch.
Thankfully, before my teasing turns into something more serious as both ladies seem to still be eager to jump into our recent activities once more, a knock resounds through the chamber. We freeze and turn our gazes towards the entrance. Grabbing the edge of the bedding, I cover my companions more to protect her dignity. Niel graces me with an appreciative smile, ducking her shoulders underneath the sheets.
“Enter,” I call towards the door.
A female servant enters and bows. When she looks up, her eyes widen briefly, her face turning rosier. Recomposing herself right away, she drops her attention to the floor.
“The Patriarch would love a word with you, Lady Counselor.” The woman sneaks a peek at us, mostly me since my body pokes out the most.
“Thank you. We’ll be there shortly,” my genius wife replies. “You are dismissed.”
The servant lingers for a few seconds more and quickly retreats into the corridor.
“This is a good thing.” Sirgia snickers amusedly. “He really thought out everything.”
“Why?” I inquire.
“She will tell everyone what she saw,” Niel takes over. “Most females won’t bother you now that the Counselor has been marked as your intimate companion. No one will want to offend a person of such high standing. You might have stated before that you two are together, but there’s irrefutable proof now. It elevated your position too.”
I shake my head. “Politics. Can’t even have sex with my enchanting mate without being roped into them.”
Sirgia’s face flushes visibly but a happy smile paints her lips. “I thought it was punishment...”
“Oh, don’t you worry. I ain’t finished with your naughty butt.” I bump into her with enough force to turn it into a light smack. “And I bet your friend isn’t either, am I right?”
Niel’s expression hardens a little and she nods. “I... I did enjoy watching you... But I’m still angry... Why did you do it?”
My partner escapes her gaze. “Sorry... I was certain nothing bad would happen...”
“You always were. Back then too.” The other Dwarf sighs slowly. “I know your confidence. But, when you use such a powerful weapon that you just showcased against yourself, is it really surprising that I would be... scared?”
The pair peers into each other’s eyes as Niel shuffles closer and I let their hands join.
“No. I’m really sorry for scaring you, Niel.” Sirgia plants a guilty peck on her old colleague’s forehead. “I’ll try my best not to do it in the future.”
A quiet snort escapes the other girl. “At least you have grown more honest now. In the past, you would have promised you wouldn’t do it. The outside world really changed you.”
There’s a glint of mischief in my lover’s expression as Niel’s attention flickers to Sirgia’s lips for just a fraction of a second. But, being my first or second wife depending on who you ask, she’s extremely sensitive to signs like these. It comes with experience and lots of involuntary training.@@@@
Still grinning, my mate leans forward and joins their small mouths together in the most delicate brush. The purple-haired beauty looks stunned for a moment before blushing furiously and letting her best friend continue. They kiss for a while, the care they hold for each other showing through the appreciative gesture. I don’t think this is exactly a Shino-Natalie situation, but I bet Dwarves from this world are just simply more open to affection of all kinds.
Plus, I might have corrupted them both to some extent.
As the kiss grows more heated and fierce, both of the lovely girls releasing faint moans, I chuckle and finally rise. “Come on. We are expected. As much as I would like to let you two drown yourselves in your sisterly bond.”
They both flush and Sirgia sits up too, letting her modest chest be in plain sight. She throws her arms over my shoulders and pulls herself up, those perky breasts of hers smushing against my chest as she offers me a few dangling kisses.
“I apologise for neglecting you, Master.” She nibbles on her bottom lip as she lets go, looking as adorable as ever while I look at her from above.
To my surprise, Niel shuffles closer, watching me attentively. She too leans up as much as she can and offers my cheek a delicate peck, which widens Sirgia’s smile. I nod at her kindly and help them both get off the bed. We dress up in a blink, moving out to join the Patriarch. The ladies hold hands and swing them happily as they walk. Reuniting old friends is the best.
We reach an ornate door with a maid standing at attention outside and guess that’s it. She curtsies at our sight and opens the path for us without even knocking. The Patriarch must have instructed her on what to do for special guests. And the man of the hour is sitting behind a thick desk inside a small office full of shelves and cabinets.
“Good, you are here.” He grumbles to himself, shoving a stack of documents aside. “Most things are taken care of. It might take a moment for everyone to accept them but even those who weren’t present at the event should be convinced soon enough.”
“Thank you, Patriarch.” Sirgia respectfully inclines her head.
“No, thank you.” The man mirrors the motion. “Have you rested well?”
“Yes. We appreciate the moment of respite to... unwind after the competition,” she replies.
A small smirk sneaks onto his lips. “Glad to hear that. Now, I’m itching to lure you into the Golem project right away, but I’m aware that it would be hasty and possibly disrespectful. So, instead, would you mind if I asked you more about the... Extinction Ball?”
That’s what they are calling it? Good gods.
“Yes,” Sirgia responds, surprising everyone a tad. “It’s way too early. I don’t trust you yet. You will have my aid and guidance, but I will decide the topics and fields. We shouldn’t rush too fast either or we’ll garner unnecessary attention.”
The Patriarch taps his finger on the desk. “Our researchers are already working on your theory...”
Niel gasps adorably. “We can blackmail them with this! They definitely know going to the crown with this evidence could ruin them! If we show that we are desperate enough to resort to mutual destruction, they might yield!”
These girls are really like two peas in one pod, aren’t they? Well, they lived together for quite a while. I wonder which one rubbed off on which.
“Hmmm.” The Patriarch strokes his chin. “There’s always the risk of them managing to deny everything and turn it around, even with physical evidence. It would be better with a witness, but everyone involved in that operation must be long dead.”
A light pops up in my head. “Not exactly.”
The pair at the front turns to me. I chuckle and snap my fingers. In the next moment, something emerges from the ground by my side. The guy’s eyes widen while a grin slips onto my lover’s lips. Soon enough, a dangerously sexy female of pure stone materialises in the chamber. The only other man in the room can’t help but drool at the enticing curves and other feminine features put on full display.
“You dare to fantasise about this body, Dwarf?” A predatory grin twists Ianthe’s mouth. “Control yourself if you don’t want me to gouge your last remaining eye as I’m the property of the Den Master and no one else.”
As he swallows thickly, I smack the impish mature Nymph up the back of her head.
“Then cover yourself instead of flashing everyone your bare pussy,” I admonish my Den Mother.
Even though she pouts back at me, her figure reforms to introduce a simple toga into her shape.
Nymphs will be Nymphs no matter what.
Sirgia gestures towards our ashen companion. “This is Ianthe and she is the Den Mother of the Oreads who served alongside our people inside one of the passages. She can confirm everything and also recount her life during that age.”
“Goddess...” The Patriarch whispers under his breath.
“No, I don’t think we’ll need to involve her this time.” My mate giggles knowingly, only confusing her superior even more.
Another giggle echoes through my mind, letting me know we are being observed.
Spying on us again, Lumina? Are you in my head? Naughty, naughty. Better get that divine rump ready for some long-overdue spanking the moment my hand can comfortably smack that heavenly ass.
My vivid imagination achieves the desired effect and I can feel the godly presence retreat from the depths of my soul, definitely getting embarrassed about such open imagery. It’s slightly amusing. Any other god might have smitten me for such audacity, but perhaps it’s not me who is smitten in this scenario.
But, focus Al. It’s not the time to grow your own ego.
“Will Ianthe be of help? What are you planning to do anyway?” I ask to ground the room again.
“It could work out. If we planned everything meticulously.” The man sighs heavily.
“We need to catch the main clan’s attention and let them know that we know but in a way that isn’t a powerful threat but more like an offer to talk things out,” Niel shares her thoughts. “You have to report the appearance of the Subsidiary Lineage Counselor, right, Patriarch?”
“Yes.” He nods stiffly. “It’s something that hasn’t happened for ages, but it might not be enough on its own. I would have to step down for the main family to involve itself with setting the new head.”
“We don’t want to undermine your position,” I say honestly. “Is there anything else?”
“Maybe the Farscope?” Our purple-haired assistant taps her cheek.
“A good idea.” The Clan Head agrees with her. “A copy and the schematics included in the message would both stand out and support the decision of promoting Sirgia.”
“Then finally a piece or replica of the diary or the badge,” the person in question proposes. “Just in case they still ignore everything else. Hopefully, the full package reaches the top and produces the desired effect.”
“Well, if that much doesn’t work, we might as well march straight to the headquarters.” I shrug nonchalantly. “We were going to flip this entire family upside down anyway. The process might require a bit more hard persuasion than we hoped for.”
“If that came out of the mouth of anyone else, I would laugh at them and then murder them for just the thought.” The Patriarch cackles. “But I have a feeling you are more than you are letting on. You are too nonchalant about this entire thing. Like it’s just another task or chore to you.”
“What can I say?” I snicker to match him. “Not even the Goddess is going to stop me from fulfilling the wishes of my incredible wives.”
Sirgia’s eyes glimmer with emotion as she stares back at me and rushes my way in the next second. I’m ready for her crashing into my chest and pressing her soft lips against mine, peppering my mouth with a thousand little kisses and smooches. She still snuggles to my chest even after I manage to pull her off to continue this meeting.
“You would make a fine Dwarf.” The man chuckles mirthfully.
My mate looks up at me with a mesmerising blush. “He will...”
Clearing my throat after experiencing the full brunt of her passionate intentions, I focus on the conversation. “What now, then?”
“Now, we start preparing. Things need to settle down a bit first. Show yourselves around some. Help a folk or two. Take part in some activities. Just confirm that your goal is to aid the clan and make its people accept you,” he says. “Meanwhile, we will support the initial phase of your endeavour. It won’t be much and too official until the main clan gets involved, but your shop will thrive no matter what. Then, we will be awaiting the response from the higher-ups while monitoring the movements of our enemies.”
“Sounds fairly solid,” I admit. “We don’t want to be reckless. It’s better not to involve the entire capital in our battles if we can help it. It’s always the common folk who get caught in the crossfire between big companies duking it out.”
“We might be sly but you can’t say we aren’t honourable,” the Patriarch responds. “Even if you might not approve of some of our internal traditions and practices.”
“We will change them for the better,” Sirgia announces. “Now, I think we took enough of your valuable time, Patriarch. Let us retreat to our allies and discuss the next steps with them. As you wish, we shall spend as much time inside the compound as we can. I’m willing to improve everyone’s lives with my knowledge and ideas.”
“With the two—apologies, three of you, our future is looking the best since the beginning of the branch family. We’ve been thwarted and reduced to dregs for ages, but it’s time to show everyone that we can produce geniuses just like the main family can do.” He smiles warmly at the Dwarf ladies. “I’m looking forward to this revolution of yours. Dismissed.”
We bow politely and leave the office after collecting all our stuff. It’s safer in our hands anyway.
The moment we are out of sight and hearing, a shiver passes through Sirgia’s body and Niel instantly supports her best friend to the side. I kneel down to brush my lover’s hair off her face as she rubs her forehead weekly.
“You were amazing back there,” the purple-haired girl comments with a tone full of reverence. “Spoke like a true future Matriarch.”
My little genius giggles tiredly. “I was so nervous my head hurts... I don’t think I can do it often...”
I kiss her forehead, weaving some healing into the gesture. “You don’t need to push yourself too far out of your comfort zone, my love. But, I believe it will only get better with experience. No matter what, you will always be my timid little Dwarf that I fell for.”
She beams at me with a fair blush. We might have both grown a lot and become much bolder, but we are still the same deep at heart. And that’s why she offers me her lips the way she always did many months ago, letting me reassure her that everything will be alright with some intimate affection.
Niel watches us intently from the side, also a tad rosy. “Do you like... shy girls?”
We pull back and my sweet mate glances at her. “Master loves shy girls, right, Master? He gets so excited hovering over delicate—”
I bonk her on the head gently. “Don’t make me into some pervert who relishes in ravaging meek ladies.”
“My butt dares to disagree...” She rubs her head with a pout.
We all laugh together at her quip and my eyes find the golden gems of her close friend. I don’t think we are ready to cross that line yet, but she observes me eagerly as I lean closer and place my palm against her smooth cheek. When I draw near, Niel confirms my decision is the correct one by closing her pretty eyes and letting her small tongue dart past her petite lips briefly, giving them a tiny lick.
Just as I press a slow and caring kiss into them, I give a mental ping to a certain good doggy. The lovely girl currently enjoying the dainty brush of our mouths, pushing hers into mine for more caresses, doesn’t notice the startled yelp that escapes our brown-haired partner as shadows swallow us.
The two of us keep unhurriedly kissing, my goal to be as gentle with this pure—to some extent—woman as I can. She certainly didn’t experience much intimate contact as she shows more than hints of wishing for more, going past her usual reservations to even reach for it by pressing harder. When it comes to physical attraction and pleasure, she could drown herself if not supervised.
And that’s why she lets out a loud gasp when I escape her delicious lips and her eyelashes flutter open. She launches herself into my embrace immediately, clutching my clothes with tight fists. The fearful expression slowly melts into a wide smile as she realises she is safe with me. The three of us stand atop the tallest tower on the clan’s grounds, overlooking the entire complex from high up above. Everyone else is like ants to us, miniature dots moving between buildings.
I shift her hold on me a little and invite Sirgia to hug me from the other side, wrapping my arms around both Dwarf girls whose eyes sparkle at the sight beneath them. Taking a deep breath, I brush their sides comfortingly.
“Alright, who is ready to completely wreck this place?”
